Entering the “Tomb” – Using the Time Travel Trolley

The passageway into the Tomb is 28” (70 cm) wide and 33” (85 cm) high. The roof is 3 metres high with skylights providing light. The quickest/easiest option to enter the tomb is to crawl along the 3 metre passageway. Alternatively, many visitors have a great time using the ingenious trolley!

IMPORTANT! Before entering the Tomb of the Eagles, it is imperative that you consider the following advice. We advise you NOT TO ENTER THE TOMB if you are feeling unwell for whatever reason. We would also advise people who are claustrophobic not to enter, even though the interior of the Tomb is lit by natural light from above. Please TAKE GREAT CARE WHEN ENTERING OR EXITING along the passageway, taking particular care not to bang your head on the low passageway roof at either end. We hope that you enjoy your Time Travel by Trolley experience!

The Cliff Top Walk & Wild Flower Trail

The scenery and wild flowers along the cliff walk are impressive. This is a wonderful example of maritime heath (including Grass of Parnassus and both Heath-spotted and Northern March Orchids). Wildlife can include a large variety of birds and seabirds, the Common Blue Butterfly, common and grey seals and occasionally if you’re very lucky, Orca and other cetaceans.

Last admission is 1 hour before closing time at 15:00.
